WEEKEND RECAP: L’ORE’AL’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION(S) + OOTD FEATURE

This past weekend was SUCH a great time! I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world!

I was blessed to have brought in my birthday with some of my closest friends. I was initially going out of town with my Dad, but at the last minute our trip was postponed, so I stayed in town and had the time of my life. On Thursday we had dinner at Tark’s Grill in Timonium which was great. We had a private room and even had an iPod plugged up playing music.

We had great food, drinks, laughs, and of course we took lots of pictures.

I was wearing a dress that I bought from Arden B. I’ve had it for about 6 months and like many of my other clothes that I’m obsessed over while they’re at the store/online, I begin to forget about them as soon as they hit the closet. This is a horrible habit and I’m getting better which is why I didn’t purchase a dress for dinner. As I began to search my closet, the bronze jumped right out at me and I immediately knew it was the one. The back is out and I love the detail on the hips. I paired it with my Christian Louboutin ByeBye 160mm and a gold necklace that I got from a trunk show when I lived in Miami.

Cheers to the BIRTHDAY GIRL!

On Saturday, I had a wonderful birthday breakfast, headed to the spa for a massage and a facial and did some afternoon shopping…I told you all I was a good girl and I didn’t purchase a dress for dinner but since my trip was postponed and I was having a party that night I did buy several options for my actual birthday event. I purchased 5 dresses but I knew exactly which one I liked the best. I’d had a two piece in mind from the start and when I saw it…my little heart just smiled.

Coral has always been an awesome color on me so I ended up with this 2 piece, backless maxi number (also from Arden B.) that I paired with a pair of teal strappy sandal heels from Aldo and a few bracelet sets that I’ve mixed and matched over the years.

Me and the girls partied at Evilla (where Helen, EO and Danny took great care of us) in Downtown Baltimore with lots of Ciroc flowing and of course my “big booty heaux” birthday cake. (LOL)….yes, I know. People had lots of questions about the cake. When it came out to the table people were staring at it and asking why it was a girl’s birthday cake. I wanted the cake because I was in love with the idea of it coming out to 2 Chainz‘s (feat. Kanye West) “Birthday Song.” And let’s be honest, we all love a good booty. (LOL). The cake was almond flavored and was made by my good friend Yassmeen. I didn’t even cut it until the next day. I’ll actually be eating it throughout the week. ;)

Me, me, me, me. Lol

I put wand curls in my bob to complete my beachy nighttime look, and I was VERY pleased!

It feels great to be twenty-great! I feel blessed and excited about all that life has to offer! Thank you girls (and guys) for making the weekend so special! ;)
